The Guelph NDP has set the nomination meeting to elect its candidate in the upcoming provincial election for Saturday, April 21st at the Evergreen Seniors Community Centre (683Woolwich St). Registration will begin at 2pm. The venue is fully accessible. In order to vote at the nomination meeting, you be a member of the NDP for at least 30 days prior to the meeting. Three candidates have declared their candidacy to run under the NDP banner in Guelph in the upcoming provincial election: Andrew Bascombe, Mike Foley, and Agnieszka (Aggie) Mlynarz.
Bascombe is a labour representative at Con Cast Pipe and is a member of the Guelph & District Labour Council. Foley is a longtime environmental activist and is currently an OPSEU steward as well as OPSEU’s equity investigator. Mlynarz, a fine arts graduate from the University of Guelph and social justice activist, has written and performed pieces on topics such as feminism, the environment and labour reform.
