Guelph NDP Speaks Out Against Schreiner’s Support of Road Tolls November 23, 2020 Oshawa NDP MPP Jennifer French has introduced a private member’s bill, Bill 43, the “Freeing Highways 412 and 418 Act”, which would remove the tolls from those Highways, and prevent any new connector roads from being tolled. Ms French’s bill is now on its way to becoming law, having passed second reading in the Legislature on Wednesday, November 18. Guelph NDP Launches Virtual Townhall Series on the Effects of Covid-19 June 4, 2020 Over the next few months, we’ll be hosting a series of virtual town hall meetings on the effects of Covid-19. The goal of this series is to highlight community groups and organizations that are particularly facing challenges during the Covid Pandemic and looking at ways to offer our assistance. We’ll also look at how we can use this pause in our regular lives to improve our community and society so that we return to a better “normal” than we had before the pandemic started.
